Peer Pressure

How do your peers influence your life?

Your peers influence your life even when you don’t realise it, they influence the way you dress, the food you eat, the friends you make, your life style etc. as human beings we are social beings so we always want to belong.
Daniel and the three Hebrew children also faced the temptation to follow the crowd, but the bible said “Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank…” Daniel 1V8. There will always be a temptation to go with the crowd.
When you are at home, it may be easy to resist temptation with the support of your family and church. But when you are alone or maybe in school, the temptation to follow the crowd becomes harder. It takes more courage to do the right thing than to follow the crowd. But be like Daniel and purpose in your heart not to follow the crowd and do the right thing even if you are standing alone. When you make the decision to honour God by doing what is right, God will also honour you (1Sam.2:30).
God honoured Daniel and his friends, Daniel1:17 says “As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom.”
When you are alone, you have to make a decision on your own to do the right thing.
